ideco newbie question

regarding the ideco-i am most grateful for the info on this..i had no idea about it..i understand the concept of savings being untaxed-but is it an investment vehicle as well-if so how are funds chosen to invest in?sorry for newbie questions..

Other brokers will also have their similar lists. 'Non-risky', so no individual stocks allowed.
Aiming to retire at 60 and live for a while longer. 95% index funds (eMaxis Slim etc), 5% Japanese dividend stocks.
