I forgot to transfer money from my bank to SBI in time for my monthly tsumitate-NISA payment (10,000 yen) to go through.
As I recall, I can only do a manual transfer each month, as SBI doesn't let you do a monthly recurring direct debit.
Is there a way to manually pay in 10,000 yen to the tsumitate-NISA just for this month? I have already transferred February's 10,000 yen so I don't forget later. When I click on つみたてNISA買付 (the blue button), it just takes me to setting up my monthly payment, which I have already done....

If not, I guess I can just pay 10,000 yen for January into my non-NISA account? (I think it's called 特定預り/一般預り)....
I pay the whole 10,000 into the eMaxis Slim All Country fund, by the way.
Thanks.

Are you sure that SBI does not allow monthly direct debit? Rakuten certainly does.
You can remake your Tsumitate settings and add a bonus or extra monthly ammount. It's a bit awkward but doable.
For example my wife started Tsumitate NiSA on November and paid 20万 on November and December.

Ah, good to know. I will have a play around and try to still put in 120,000 this year.Kanto wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 11:16 pm Are you sure that SBI does not allow monthly direct debit? Rakuten certainly does.

Re: Missed tsumitate-NISA payment this month (to SBI)! Advice?
Just to update, I was able to reschedule the automatic withdrawal to later this month (was originally set for the 18th of each month), so hopefully I won't miss January's contribution after all. Decided to max out to 33,333 each month, too. Hope I can keep it up for a whole year!
I would love to be able to pay in 400,000 each year for twenty years.
I buy into the eMaxis Slim All Country 100%.
Even with no compound interest, 8,000,000 yen after twenty years would be nice....
I am hoping for at least 5% return annually....
