HI all,
I just started investing in dividend stocks with SBI. I have read from many places that it's best to reinvest your earnings back into the stock and that is what I am hoping to do.
However, I read that this isn't an option with SBI and I wanted to confirm that. I found the option of SBI doing the calculation for taxes but there wasn't an option to reinvest automatically like there is with their tsumitate NISA account. I couldn't find the 積立買付 option.
Does anyone know if it possible with SBI or did I miss a step?
Thanks in advance!

I believe this is easy to do with mutual funds (you can choose the accumulation version when you buy it -配当金再投資コース or similar), but I don't think it is possible with individual shares.
You just have to accumulate the money and buy more shares manually.

That's what I thought as well! But as I was going through the making my purchase, I couldn't find the option. I have attached a picture of what the buying page looks like from their FAQ page. Maybe my Japanese is worst than I thought but I can't seem to find that option.goodandbadjapan wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 11:41 am when you buy the stocks is there not a small box you can tick to choose reinvesting dividends?

Yeah with my tsumitate NISA account, I had chosen the 再投資 option when I first signed up for the account. I was wondering if that applies to everything I do within my account or just with the tsumitate NISA account. I can't find any trace of 再投資 when buying individual shares.
If it's not do-able, then I guess I will have to do it manually. Hopefully I will remember to!
