It's too late now for this transaction obviously, but you do have the option of selling in yen or in dollars when you enter the order.

That had crossed my mind. But I've set orders before (including this year) when the NYSE had a holiday. I've also set orders for a few weeks in advance. But, perhaps they've changed their system? I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

REIT stocks and ETFs are getting smashed. I see some on the NYSE have dropped as much as 80%. However, I'm pretty confident that the big boys will bounce back. Likely a cut in dividends for the short term though.

Bonds falling along with stocks is concerning.
I think that the drop in gold is just selling to cover losses. I'd expect gold to jump back in a big way once that's done.

I'm not sure yet if it's just passenger flights or includes commercial goods. Trump's announcement wasn't clear on that.
