Re: Advice for an investment in Japan for the next couple of years.
Thanks for the advice so far. The Ideco in my wifes name may be a good option as we are still paying her pension. However I'm looking for something like a term deposit or bonds with a set length/return I think. I'm probably going to want to buy a family house when we return to Japan in 2-3 years so ...

Advice for an investment in Japan for the next couple of years.
First post on here in ages and it's a big question that I assume is a little unusual. I was all about to start setting up a retirement nest egg in Japan and the pandemic hit and destroyed everything. I've had various jobs in Japan, but since 2013 I have had my own com...

Re: Leaving Japan for 2 years
Thanks for the advice guys and I'm very happy to hear that it looks like I can keep the pension payments as is. I will be back in 2 year so if I can continue making payments (or at least leave the account ready to start when I get back) that would be the best. A little bit more information - my wife...

Leaving Japan for 2 years
I have been living in Japan for about 15 years but only started paying in to the Japanese pension system a few years ago - actually back paid a couple of years towards the end of 2019 just before Corona hit. I have set up a pension fund in my home country, but started paying into the pension as it w...
