Re: Can someone explain how the 'bonus' portion of Tsumitate works?
Does anyone know how to add bonus payments to a Tsumitate NISA on SMBC? I've been paying in less than 100,000 a month this year, and I thought it was possible to top it up manually with additional payments, but I couldn't find any option to do so on the SMBC website. Am I mistaken, or have I just mi...

Re: Tax return: Pension etc.. if paid through company?
Thanks! I think I've worked it out.
It should be much simpler this year, but I've been doing it the same way for so many years that doing it the simple way has me all confused

Re: Olive Flexi card - how to switch to points mode?
Thanks. I finally got it set up in the end, though I'm not entirely sure how. I now have to keep both apps on my phone, and load up my virtual v-points card with v-points from one v-points bucket to another using the v-points app. Which means I can only use them online (unless I can be bothered to s...

Tax return: Pension etc.. if paid through company?
This is probably a dumb question, but this is my first time filling in a tax return for a year where I was fully employed by a company. In previous years I had mainly freelance income, so I was paying everything like health insurance, pension, etc.. directly myself, and when I filled out the tax ret...

Overseas interest on savings?
I'm filling out my tax return this year because I had medical expenses over 100k last year. I've paid taxes, pension, etc.. all through my company this year, so I think what I enter on the form is going to be basically only employment income, medical expenses and furustato tax. Do I need to add anyt...

Olive Flexi card - how to switch to points mode?
I have an SMBC Olive account with one of their Flexi cards that can work in 3 modes (Credit, Debit and Point). It uses the mobile app to switch modes. I'm fairly sure when I first got it that switching to point mode was as simple at tapping that mode in the app. But back then I had no points to spen...

Re: Simple Q&A - NISA
I haven't seen anything about a document. There's just a button to cancel the NISA on the SMBC Direct website.

Re: Simple Q&A - NISA
I'm still a bit confused I'm afraid. If I cancel my existing SMBC Tsumitate Nisa then what happens to the funds? (a) The cash value gets transferred to my current account? (b) The funds remain invested but no further purchases are made and it remains tax free until the Tsumtate deadline expires (20 ...

Re: Simple Q&A - NISA
Thanks! It is indeed helpful! My reply above somehow came after your reply, but was more aimed at zeroshiki's reply. I'm not so worried about missing the start of the SBI one. I'm a bit confused as to why I need the letter from SMBC about closing that one, given that the 2024 Nisa was supposed to be...
