Re: eMaxis Slim All Country vs Developed Countries vs...
I'm not talking about timing the market based on day to day performance. More like, next January I'll compare the returns between all country and developed countries and say all country is doing way better, then I might put in a little money. Then if the trend continues, then I'll keep buying it.

Re: eMaxis Slim All Country vs Developed Countries vs...
China and India count as developing countries so you're missing on that potential growth. That's true. The flipside to that argument is that currently developed countries is out performing all country, so I'm not missing out on any growth currently. It's potential growth (as you stated), so I feel ...

Re: eMaxis Slim All Country vs Developed Countries vs...
Thanks for the replies. It seems to come down to having developing countries or not. I'm happy to trade higher returns now versus having even more coverage than what developed countries provides. It's impossible to predict the future, so how do we know developing countries will become better perform...

eMaxis Slim All Country vs Developed Countries vs...
Hey guys, it's the start of a new year so I just stopped by to make sure there were no new exciting developments in the world of Japanese mutual funds. I've got a load of 1550 that I need to sell and buy something better in the NISA package. I'm going to miss those dividends! So I see eMaxis Slim al...

Sounds like the UK model is a lot more reasonable!
You made a great point about getting stuck in an extended bear market. hmmm that puts t-nisa in a new light.
Also good point about being able to rollover more than 1.2 -> I was able to do that.

Rollover, rollover, so they all rolled over and one fell out..
Hey gang, I have a question about rolling over a NISA account. I did a search but nothing came up, and this could/should probably be in the dummies section. At the end of last year I received notice that my first year of NISA investments were eligible to be rolled over. I skimmed the info, pushed wh...

Re: Ideal iDeCo composition
Hi guys, I just recently changed to the SBI select Ideco and this prompted me to rethink my allocation. I've gone with: eMAXIS Slim 先進国株式インデックス(eMAXIS Slim 先進国株式インデックス) 63% eMAXIS Slim 全世界株式(除く日本)(eMAXIS Slim 全世界株式(除く日本)) 32% eMAXIS Slim 国内株式(TOPIX)(eMAXIS Slim 国内株式(TOPIX)) 5% Am I being silly with...

Re: Why do my iDeCo funds seem to be performing so badly??
it's not such a big deal but there's also the initial 3000yen set up cost which they count in the totals. If you're only putting in 2,3000/month then it takes a while for the gains to overcome that initial 3000yen.

Are mutual funds really bought at the day's end? It usually takes 4 to 5 days before I get the purchased message.
