Agree. Even if you stop iDeCo, there is still a minimal monthly charge of a few yen to keep it running. So might as well budget for the ¥60k/year it takes to keep the regular membership status going, and continue to build up the allowance that'll let you get a larger lump sum tax free later. Weird, so if you started in July at 100k/mo, you'd get no bonus I guess? You'd have to set it to 200k/mo to max it out instead (if that's possible).
