Re: Message for UK pension enthusiasts…

Hello everyone, Just a quick thank you to those who have contributed to this thread. I've applied for a callback from the DWP, and emailed a screenshot of the confirmation as evidence. I was considering giving them a call, but then realised that Skype has been discontinued by Microsoft, so I have no...

Re: Best UK savings options?

Is this Skipton offshore building society account? I tried to open a savings account when I was back in the UK and all them wanted me to be a resident. Re: Paying taxes on UK savings?

Thank you for replies, and for the warm welcome! In your shoes, I would declare for 2024 in the upcoming tax window (mid Feb to mid March), doing the yen conversion on the actual day the interest entered your account. In the case of my HSBC savings account, the interest is paid monthly. Does that me...

Best UK savings options?

Hello everyone, I have a bulk of my UK savings in an HSBC "Online Bonus Saver" account. However, in July 2023 I transferred a sizeable amount to a Skipton International fixed rate bond (18 months) which matured earlier this month. Skipton International have similar 1 and 2-year fixed rate ...
