Re: Can switch investment from taxable to NISA?
Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I'll just leave it in taxable, as it's only 6 man.

Can switch investment from taxable to NISA?
A purchase I made into a certain popular fund about a month ago is listed in my taxable account, rather than NISA. I expect I forgot to tick the NISA box. As tax hasn't come into play yet, can I ask the broker to shift it over to NISA?

Re: No iDeCo deduction from salary?

No iDeCo deduction from salary?
My employer has kindly filled in the iDeCo application form, but also told me they "can't" do deductions from my salary. Has anyone else had this experience? Given that the government mandates it as one of the ways to contribute to iDeCo, is my employer even allowed to refuse to make the d...

Re: IDeCo changes December 2024
When the contribution limits go up in December, will it be a simple matter to raise your contributions if you wish to, or will it be a bureaucratic pain? Anyone have any info on this?

Re: SMBC Olive: the curse of the middle name
Thanks for that heads-up, Ben. I may have to open a Shinsei Bank account just so I can withdraw the funds.

Re: SMBC Olive: the curse of the middle name
I actually started my Nisa "journey" intending to go with Rakuten. During the application process a message appeared saying there was an irregularity, but its nature was not revealed. Tried again, same thing happened. Unhelpful. At which point, I decided to try SBI instead. The fact that, ...

Re: SMBC Olive: the curse of the middle name
I recently opened a Nisa with SBI, so am wondering whether to get an Olive card for the "gazillions of points". However, once they've roped in enough people they'll likely do the old bait and switch and drastically cut the points allocation. On the middle name issue, I ran into the same pr...
