Thank you for your insight everyone. I'm not sure what I will do, but losing out on a potential 120% gain (8%/year x 15 (number of years until my son's 18th bday) seems sad to me. It's a lose-lose, but I'll have to live with my decision.

Hi friends. I made a stupid mistake in my son's (3yo) JNISA account and am asking for advice. Long story short, I was re-balancing his JNISA account in October 2023 and had a surplus of 190k in the account. A related, but different question: My son is 3 years into his JNISA before it gets abolished next year. Do I still have 2 more years of the 5-year JNISA to contribute, or is his JNISA dead in the water? TIA! No more new contributions will be allowed in 2024. The investments can just be left to grow...
