iDeCo - how to file on tax form?
Next year will be my first year of filing a tax return since joining this forum and entering the world of iDeCo, Nisa and T-Nisa. Having received my yearly iDeCo statement postcard recently I’m wondering how to enter these payments on my tax return form? To date I’ve been self-employed with quite a ...

Re: Retirement planning
Man, imagine getting a full British pension worth, say, 1400 quid per month (I can retire from 2046) at an exchange rate of 286.21! Would be living like a king here (for my lifestyle, anyways!). Being 22 years away and, assuming the triple lock stays (and also assuming you're eligible for a full UK...

The fob has a list of all questions and answers.
The fob will not show an answer, unless you enter the correct question.

Re: Using Yucho account overseas
1. You are asked to enter the account number you are transferring to into the device and press enter. 2. You typer 123456 on the fob, and press enter. 3. The device runs the algorithm and spit out a number *51556987*. This is NOT random. But Specific to the fob, and your account 5. You enter *51556...

Re: Using Yucho account overseas
Thanks for all replies so far. These Yucho ones are the simple type. It contains and algorithm that will generate numbers from input. That same algorithm exists on a server. So when it ask you to enter a number, it knows what the answer should be. When these two answers match up, you are authenticat...

Using Yucho account overseas
When setting my Yucho account up to pay into my Rakuten Securities account I understand that the Yucho app allowed a daily transfer limit (of 50,000yen from memory) and so I applied for the physical トケン (token?) the small calculator-esque physical device which had no (or at least a much higher) dail...

Re: UK Pension summary - National Insurance Credits?
Can I just check if my ex-wife (Japanese national) is eligible to claim a UK pension, or (even better) able to contribute yearly payments from overseas to boost her pot? She has a NI number, and made only 32months contributions, but lived in the UK for 6-7years. If relevant we divorced in Japan, aft...

Re: Owning a Manshon - basic beginners queries
I had composed a much longer answer, when I realized that you already live in the apartment :D ….. So this is what is left: I don't live in the property and apologies for perhaps presenting the impression that I do. I've lived in the area for 10 years, and just found it online during a random searc...

Re: Owning a Manshon - basic beginners queries
I get the impression our building is being managed competently, which is very much not the case across the board. Were you able to ascertain the competency of management prior to your purchase (something I see as quite a key point...), or is it just something that comes with experience of being an ...
