This might not be the right thread for this, and if the information has been shared elsewhere I am truly sorry for asking this again (and would be grateful for a link), but does anyone know how the 新NISA will treat dividends? What I mean is if I buy an ETF through it, and that ETF pays me a dividend...

Glad to hear things fixed themselves. Does it show the fund being bought in December and January at different prices, or is it one bulk purchase?

So if I understand this correctly, you reckon an overwhelming majority of people holding the developed countries excluding Japan fund are already holding other Japanese-exposed positions?

Thank you for this, it was very informative. I am always shocked at how illogical and unintuitively arbitrary tax law is, especially in Japan.

No. There will be no tax-free account for minors. The FSA tried for it, but were shot down by lawmakers.
