I believe the Telegraph falls into the tabloid category (even though personally they treated me well -- they published a review of a book I wrote). I felt they were not truthful about Britain's European neighbours and the whole Brex-shit-show.

I dont think the Japan Nat Pension pays distributions (or dividends). They just pay a fixed pension.

I set up an account with IBKR about 10 years ago, when it was OK to do so with Japanese address. As far as i recall, I got a letter initially, so you would might need to have an address for letters.
