Then I plain don't understand the limit of 12,000 yen. Can someone explain why they are capped?

12,000 yen is quite low number.
What is the optimal course of saving as shigaku kyousai members?
Is there a corporate DC type saving account available for them?

Re: Rakuten vs MONEX Tsumitate with Credit Card

Only one securities company has set their rates to 10万。tsumiki証券 (never heard of it.) You would hear a lot about them if you owned EPOS credit card. When I checked on them they had very poor selection of funds to buy. Monex made announcement that they will temporarily increase percentage https://in...

Re: New NISA strategy -GO!

If monex going to give juicy point up to 100k from credit card I'm gonna ride with it. Have they said they will do this? It is still 50,000 per month max at the moment, I think. Don't know, I'm only guessing. Hope they do some announcement before the end of year. All brokers are having this 50k lim...

Re: New NISA strategy -GO!

I have 1.2M in NISA2023 and estimate about 2M in taxable by the end of year. If monex going to give juicy point up to 100k from credit card I'm gonna ride with it. Probably 50k from salary and 50k from selling taxable assets. That's 600k over a year from taxable. Remaining 1.4M sell and buy over som...

When you buy and sell emaxis slim, at which point the price is fixed? I know it doesn't make sense trying to time the market with index funds but can't help wondering.

Re: I'm planning to apply for permanent residence in Japan and I was wondering if anybody else has already done this.

I went highly-skilled visa route. About overall experience with immigration offices, I was surprised to find out 2 facts: 1. You can go to whatever remote office in Japan instead of closest to your residence, 2. Small offices work faster and are nicer to you. I had a nice experience with office in N...

For me, it'll cost me more per year in headspace than the ¥3600 reward can compensate for
50000*12*0.011=¥6600

Re: Switch to regular NISA for 2023?

I think you should also consider how fast you can use up NISA 2024 allowance. If I use T-NISA and consider 20y it as good as lifetime, I would effectively increase NISA contribution limit from 18M to 18.4M. For me I think I can contribute less than 2M out of annual limit of 3.6M. Which means I can s...
