Re: MUFJ Nisa application taking time?
I just decided to have a look in the MUFJ iOS app to see if there were any alerts etc. re the NISA application and it seems like it is actually active. Pretty strange that I never got an email to say it was setup … Anyway, now just need to navigate all the various checkboxes and options to see if I ...

MUFJ Nisa application taking time?
Hi all,
Pretty simple question. I applied for NISA with my bank (MUFJ) about 6 weeks ago. I got an auto reply to say they would be checking with tax office and would let me know if/when approved. Any idea how long this might normally be expected to take?
Cheers

Re: Use Revolut or just Japanese CC on trip?
Thanks for the various tips. In the short term I think I'll just use my Rakuten Mastercard (if I run out of Euro). Have to go easy on the pints!

Use Revolut or just Japanese CC on trip?
Hello, I'm heading to Ireland over the holidays. The few thousand Euro I used to have in my Revolut account has now dwindled down to very little … I am curious if I should exchange some Yen for Euro and use Revolut while there or simply use my Japanese credit card or bank debit card? The Revolut opt...

Thanks @adamu
I guess that ease-of-use gets a lot of people onboard by default.
This has been on my to-do list for about 2-3 years!
Will have another go at getting Rakuten set up again.

Opening NISA / iDeCo account with current bank (MUFJ)?
Hi, first time post. Great resource you have created here. I tried to set up an iDeCo account with Rakuten last year but somehow the process got stuck. Not exactly sure why … I saw on my main bank MUFJ they offer both iDeCO and NISA through their banking app. Is there any good reason for me not to j...
