Re: Who knew? 4 Avantis' active ETFs are now available in Japan
What is your rationale, given your other post: I was reading this article about how the proposed tariffs under Trump could very well lead to the US dollar climbing higher. What are your guesses? Donald Trump’s policies risk making the US dollar a source of global instability https://www.chathamhous...

Re: Who knew? 4 Avantis' active ETFs are now available in Japan
I use some of the Avantis ETFs in my portfolio. The company is very similar to DFA in their approach to factor investing and rules-based stock selection. There is a blog post below which might be of interest: https://www.whitecoatinvestor.com/avantis-vs-vanguard/ Thanks!🙏 Thanks again for this arti...

Who knew? 4 Avantis' active ETFs are now available in Japan
I was browsing the list of available US ETFs at SBI and saw that 4 of the low cost active ETFs from Avantis are now available in Japan! https://i.ibb.co/K6YrpSs/2024-11-21-16-15-52-search-sbisec-co-jp-3461100f043e.png Over on their all new Japanese website , I learned that they've obtained the neces...

Re: SBI Tsumitate NISA Bonus rule change
Err, right. I always get confused converting from man yen to million yen… the tax free limit is 18M yen of course! On a separate note, before I read this thread I hadn’t even considered the possibility of lump sum investing my 3.6M yen quota for 2025 (less 100 yen x 11 months) for next year’s NISA b...

Re: SBI Tsumitate NISA Bonus rule change
Although the unlucky punter who starts on the NISA journey mid-year will need to go through a right old rigmarole to use up their tsumitate quota (which is what I needed to do since I started at Monex this June!), I am guessing that in the fullness of time, it will be possible to use up the whole 18...

Yes I su...
