Yeah it happened twice with my previous bank, but after switching to Sony Bank no problem at all.
When I receive the money I send them straight away to their junior Nisa account, hopefully that will be enough as proof

Receiving money from overseas family
Hi everyone I know about the gift tax that applies for sum over 1.1m yen, but what if the amount received is to be divided with other family members? To be more specific, my family in Europe sends to my Wise account more than 1.1m yen, but one third of it is actually for my kids, some for my wife an...

Re: Monex eMaxis slim all country
Ok, I looked it up. Not sure why they pick confusing abbreviations. It looks like the translations are here https://mst.monex.co.jp/mst/servlet/ITS/ideco/IDecoBrandList eMaxis Slim All Country is 三菱U国際スリム全世界株式 Thanks for confirming that Actually I did abbreviate, the name of the fund is 三菱U国際スリム全世界...

Monex eMaxis slim all country
Morning everyone
I'm about to complete the application for my iDeco with Monex but I'm confused....
There is no eMaxis slim to choose from, instead everything comes under 三菱?
Is it the same thing or something completely different?
Sorry for the dumb question and thanks for your help

Re: When do we think we should do a Lump sum investment?
I have a large amount of cash at the moment, which I am DCAing into mutual funds. At the current rate of purchase (I do an order on Rakuten every time the previous order clears), it will take 15-20 months to be fully invested. I plan to do a lump sum investment if markets fall considerably/the yen ...

Re: NISA or Tsumitate Nisa? Help me choose
I remember reading If You Can - How Millennials Can Get Rich Slowly It's free. Short. To the point. And it certainly gave me an idea about what I should be doing when I had no idea. It is written for an American, but substitute things like the 401k/IRA for iDeCo/NISA, and A U.S. total stock market ...

Re: NISA or Tsumitate Nisa? Help me choose
I get the feeling you might benefit from reading a book about investing before getting started. Millionaire Teacher is a good one: https://amzn.to/39BzpXm as is The Simple Path to Wealth: https://amzn.to/3Pv5OPT and Just Keep Buying: https://amzn.to/3PpFB5z Just one of those should be enough. Thank...

Re: NISA or Tsumitate Nisa? Help me choose
Thanks for the detailed explanation.
The point is that I have zero experience in investing so I'd prefer put as much as possible into NISA or TS because it looks simpler and more safe.
Or there are some safe options I can invest too with a taxable account?

Re: NISA or Tsumitate Nisa? Help me choose
We have an emergency account already, so hopefully don't need them anytime soon. At the same time I don't want to leave everything in the bank, as you said investing in a taxable account might be a good option. I've read good comments about the eMAXIS Slim, is it a good move to invenst on them in th...

NISA or Tsumitate Nisa? Help me choose
Hi everyone, I'm really new in investing, I've spent the past weeks reading about NISA and Tsumitate NISA but still can't decide which option is better for me. Little background: european living in Japan, japanese wife and 2 kids. Recently started Junior NISA for them and iDECO (23,000/month) Have 7...
