Re: Rakuten CC tsumitate is now 100,000 yen a month

What would be the points return on this? Any documentation or simulator for Rakuten - NISA/Tsumitate connection? It ...

Re: Why is there so much confusion around pensions?

I had this at my previous work, where I had no say about the investment asset for the DB side of things. And because they had this DB c...

Re: Quicken or Mint like software in JP?

I use MoneyTree to track spending. It connects to all my bank accounts and credit cards. The free version is fine for my needs. https://getmoneytree.com/jp/home MoneyForward has a similar service it seems. Anyone else? Have you created a video for this? Or do you plan to? May be Moneytree can spons...

Re: Milestone Thread

This thread is really great! It gives me another perspective to look at where I am in a different angle, perhaps. Although still a long way from my goal, but combining my NISA and DC assets, I have reached 2 year's worth of my first Japan salary. My first Japan salary was quite low, but I started to...

Re: Pending- Law to revoke the permanent residency status of foreign nationals who fail to pay taxes

.. Goran, did the OSAKA office test you on spot by making you hand write something? If not, do you have JLPT N1? I would like to know what happened during your first interview. R Sorry if my earlier post was not clear. I have not submitted my application yet. I went to verify the documents that I h...

Re: Pending- Law to revoke the permanent residency status of foreign nationals who fail to pay taxes

Good luck! Let us know how it goes. If you would be willing to write a guest post or interview about your experience on the RJ blog after you finish I think a lot of people would be interested :D  I was thinking about updating/adding to the RJ wiki for naturalization. But I could take a shot a...
