Thank you for the clarification, Captain. It was very helpful. I had thought that that was the case. So, although I haven’t touched any of the funds over the years, I will be reporting all of the gains (capital gains/dividends/interest) when I submit my NTA taxes.

Thank you for your very informative reply. Lots of useful information. Capital Gains Taxes are only due on sales. If you didn't sell anything , there are no Capital Gains Taxes. Only dividend and interest taxes. Just to double-check, so even if the (internal?) capital gains from the mutual funds are...

Thank you all for your insights--well appreciated. I feel a bit better about the situation now. I think that pleading my case to the local NTA when I submit the proper 2021 paperwork might be the way to go.
