Re: Rakuten securities notifications

Sorry for the late reply!

I'm not sure about that, although I'm thinking they might not send that info out in an email. They probably need you to log in, sensitive information!

Oh, it is NOT a calculation 😅

But something like 40% stock market crash combined with the yen strengthening by 33% would do it.

Could be worse, of course 😂

I see 😂 Well, it works for me!

Re: March net worth update

Until the markets crash and I start panicking! I'm thinking about what the worst case likely scenario looks like. For us, market crash + yen strengthens. Wouldn't be surprised to see our net worth in yen go down 60%. Out of interest, how would you calculate that, potential, 60% drop? How did you ge...

Re: Rakuten securities notifications

That's right, you can change the notifications under "email service". You get there like this... 「マイメニュー」→お客様情報の設定・変更「メールサービス」→通知メール「投信お知らせメール」にてお手続きください。 Email service is located in the red bar near the top of the お客様情報一覧 Actually, I've been meaning to change these settings for about 4 ye...

Re: Good buys on Mercari? (Or other used marketplaces)

I think it depends on the shipping method that is chosen. If it's done through らくらくメルカリor ゆうゆうメルカリ then the name and address are anonymous. If you choose to send through the post office (or other method?) then the seller gets the postal details of the buyer. This is done after payment is completed, ...

Re: Free uni fees (3 kids) ?

Was reading earlier that the "three kids free" headline is quite misleading. What it actually says is that at the time of having three dependants the cost of university is reduced (as mentioned by Beanhead previously). Also, the distinction between "kids" and "dependants&quo...

Re: Rakuten new tsumitate nisa setup date

This is a kind of follow on question. Currently, I don't have a Rakuten credit card, but I do have the Rakuten Cash app. I was thinking of setting up tsumitate NISA and paying for it with Rakuten Cash that is charged with (actual) cash, but it appears that in that situation no points will be awarded...
