Re: I have a NISA account with MUFG but want to start using Rakuten
So to clarify, as long as I haven't deposited any money into my NISA through MUFG this year, I can use my Rakuten account?
Simply put, why are Rakuten and the mentioned others best?

I have a NISA account with MUFG but want to start using Rakuten
I understand that we can only hold one NISA account so when I originally started looking at who to sign up with, I started with Rakuten as I have my business account with them, but the process was quite the hassle. So in the end, I went with MUFG which I hold a personal account with. But I have read...

are all nisa stocks active mutual funds?
I have been using MUFG for my NISA account and with my limited Japanese I was told that all stocks that MUFG provide are active mutual funds. I was hoping to build a passive income but not sure if this is happening under active mutual funds as much as I would have liked. I am planning on changing to...

Re: transferring NISA account from MUFG to Rakuten
Once I have made my rakuten nisa account, will I be able to transfer my shares? I want to move away from MUFG as I have read their fees are higher. How can I smoothly transition to rakuten? I also have some normal stock via MUFG but would it be possible to transfer that to rakuten or somewhere else?

Compound interest and dual citizenship
I would like to invest in some index funds which I have read can be a passive income with compound interest build up over the years. The longer I keep it in, the more interest will build up. I currently invest in NISA and active mutual funds on MUFG but I am planning on changing over to rakuten from...

transferring NISA account from MUFG to Rakuten
I originally started my NISA account registration with Rakuten but they were quite complicated and as my bank was already MUFG, it was much simpler as I could get in-person assistance. Recently I got i touch with Retire Japan and they recommended I transfer my NISA account as well as my other invest...
