Sorry not stocks, but I am using my SBI Stocks account if that counts.
I am trying to understand the interphase of the SBI Forex site. In the order page, I cannot seem to pick the leverage. Can anyone help me figure this out?

Is this setting correct to avoid tax on dividends (SBI)
I think with the exception of my Japanese SP500 ETF which somehow deposits my dividends to my bank account, my other dividends goes to my SBI account. Just wanted to confirm that this is in fact what the above setting does and I am not taxed on dividends.

Re: SBI Name issues
Hmm I am trying to recall what I did years ago when I applied for the account. Your post reminds me that maybe I did fill in a hard copy since the webform won't accept my name. And when they inputted my form in their database is perhaps where the weird name came up. Now they won't fix it for me and ...

SBI Name issues
I never really paid attention to how my name in my SBI account appeared, until today when I could not make my initial transfer from my SBI bank to SBI (Though I have been using it for years using a different bank account). Reason was my name is different. I checked my profile and my name is all mess...

Re: Setting up yuucho direct ゆうちょダイレクト for Jnr NISA
Just saw this post. I too am planning to open a Junior NISA account and using their existing Post account, so less trouble creating new accounts. But this post reminded me that having a Post account does not mean having a Yucho Direct account and I still have to go through the archaic system for eac...

Super high interest rates on South African Rand in SBI
Has anyone availed of this? https://www.netbk.co.jp/contents/lineup ... te_special
40% interest in a time deposit sounds scammy to me but its SBI so it seems to be legit. Even considering currency fluctuation risk, 40% seems too large a profit to lose on currency fluctuation. Any catch?

Re: How to put money into Junior NISA?
We're aiming to max it out for all remaining years and use the fund as a "pot" for funding our current child's (and possible future childrens) education. I was thinking that while Junior NISA is not that attractive with the pending end in a less than three years (better to put the money i...

Re: How to put money into Junior NISA?
The last few times I've logged into my kids' JNISA accounts on Rakuten to transfer money in from their Post Office accounts, it has given me the option to a) transfer money from accounts in the child's name, or b) transfer the money in from MY account but warns that I could be liable for gift tax i...

Re: Sony Bank
Just a heads up for those planning to use Sony Bank to remit USD (both locally and internationally). Sony Bank takes KYC to a whole new level. You have to pre-register accounts to remit to and you have to indicate how much you expect to remit per year. Fine so far. But to prove that you have the mea...
