IPO Investing

Hello everyone, I am interested in investing my fun money in a company that is about to IPO. It is listed under the " new listings " page of the JPX, since it's already been approved. The date of listing is set in late December. However, I have no idea how this kind of investing works sinc...

Re: Automatic Investments to Rakuten Sec with Rakuten Credit Card Points

In case you plan on changing it though, note that keeping the point payment is one of the requirements to get SPU on Rakuten Securities so you should just reduce it to 1 point. What this means is that any tsumitate purchase you make on Rakuten Securities, will automatically use the points to a max ...

Any links for those exclusive lower fees funds? I would like to read more on them.

Re: Best budgeting app?

I use the new version of YNAB. While great (I love inputting expenses manually as it makes me very aware of how we use the money), they decided to increase the subscription costs, and they stopped grandfathering in old users (which means my subscription costs have basically doubled). Unfortunately, ...

Re: Electric bills

We pay a little more because we use Shizen Denryoku , but in exchange we use clean energy and we even directly contribute to the development of future renewable energy projects. Our usage/prices this year so far: https://i.imgur.com/lMQINAN.png As you can see, usage is higher during the winter month...

Re: water bills

We always seem to pay the minimum (which I think is anything less than 16m3), which is 3740 yen every 2 months. Me and my partner live in a 64m2 2LDK apartment in a small city in Saitama. There was an occasion in February–March where the consumption spiked to 17m3 and we paid 4031, but otherwise it ...

How long until the amount paid gets reflected on the iDeCo website? They took my money from my bank account about 10 days ago but it still shows as 0円. I want to see the numbers go up!

Re: Okane No Gakkou: Use SBI

I am using Matsui, which has the same account fee as SBI and the same cost fund for the fund I'm interested in, which is eMaxis Slim All Country. Given I don't really have any plans to change funds in the future (unless a better fund comes out or the current fund gets worse), I don't really see the ...

Re: The Monday Read

To kick start things off, I was reading this article about domain name feuds and monetizing social media and how it all ended up in a shootout (https://onezero.medium.com/the-influencer-and-the-hit-man-6c3905efd3c3), which is quite wild but nonetheless an interesting read, and may be of interest (mo...
