Re: Recommendations for news/magazine subscriptions?
I've been signing up and then cancelling trial subsciptions of the New Yorker and the Atlantic for the last few years, then tried Match of the Day and FourFourTwo for the soccer obsessed kids. The deals vary, but they're generally under 1000 per issue for a year. I think the New Yorker generally has...

Re: $80 15minute survey for marketing professionals about advertising platforms
@TJKansai- I can't remember the process for the initial registration with the site, that may have taken longer, but for each survey it's usually very quick, like 5 question click-thru screening, and I've been selected for the full survey probably 3/4s of the the time

$80 15minute survey for marketing professionals about advertising platforms
I get these emails once in a while and can vouch that they do pay out if you pass the screening and do the survey. It used to be only US-based rewards, but recently they've added amazon.co.jp gift cards as well, so I just did this survey and got Y9834 gift card immediately upon completion. Based on ...

Re: Stockholder Perks
From a management perspective I don't really think the benefits make sense. They are a shareholder benefit that require neither profit for dividends, nor increasing stock price for capital gains. Pretty useful for management, I guess. I mean management in the sense of long-term health of the compan...

Re: Stockholder Perks
I hold a variety of stocks that offer perks, and actually recently bought a whole bunch at the end of the year. While I agree that they shouldn't be the sole reason you invest in a company, they can certainly be a factor to consider when choosing individual stocks, especially if they are in addition...

Re: FP3 Certification
I'm still not totally sure what's on the test. What is the theoretical paper? If I have to write an essay in hand on paper I will be out for sure

FP3 Certification
Any thoughts from people who have done the test, or given up part way through studying for it, etc? I'm thinking of making getting the Financial Planning 3kyuu certification one of my resolutions for 2021. It's mostly for personal interest, but it's always nice to have a certification of some sort. ...

Re: Offsale Auctions - 立会外分売
I enjoy these, and buy quite often through Rakuten. I posted on here about them probably about a year ago, and there was some limited discussion. The actual discount rate is usually only 2-3%, but they have to announce in advance that they're going to be doing it, so I suppose there could be a trend...
