Had to call the help line (or rather the wife did) to get the contribution increased. The online form has an error in that it will not allow the - (hyphen) in the name if katakana is used. All good now.

I was amazed to find socks in big size (29cm) They stretch on my 30`s just fine, in the 100 yen shop. Black business style. Fairly average sock quality.

Since September I have been doing some part time work. The company sends me an invoice which I electronically sign and return. No tax is deducted but a 10% sales tax is added and paid to me. I am not registered as a business and am a regular white tax form user. How do I declare this income and what...

I went to the tax office last week, they produced a separate sheet with a piece of carbon paper (very old school) and asked me to write three numbers. Income from property, expenses and profit or in this case loss. Didn't`t ask for any receipts or explanation of how I calculated my numbers.

As my purchase was mid year if I deduct the stamp duty and other costs I have made a loss. Can I make a negative declaration and reduce my total income?

Pay your pension on time!
If you are making iDeco payments and are behind with your pension payments beware! You must make the pension payments for 2020 in 2020. If not your iDeco provider will send back the iDeco payments for the months you didn’t pay your pension. I found this out the hard way... 3 months of 68,000 less so...

Did the painful bank transfer to the tax man today.....
I managed to lesson the pain very slightly by reminding myself how much the funds would have been worth today if I hadn’t cashed them.
