Re: Claiming PAYE from UK pension lump sum

OK so thought I’d come back for completion. Here’s the procedure: 1) 18/9 sent the ‘Japan 1 DT’ form with Parts 2 & 3 of my P45 to the J tax office. Got a phone call a few days later asking for a translation as they had no idea what I’d sent them (though in a later phone call they said they’d fo...

Claiming PAYE from UK pension lump sum

Has anyone received a taxed lump-sum pension payment from the UK and claimed the tax back? I wonder if you could share the procedure? I cashed in an old private pension and received £14k ~ £15k (¥1.9m) in my UK bank a/c. I plan to leave it there until the exchange rate improves (or an emergency aris...

Re: Transferwise suddenly decide to send me snail mail to confirm my address

I got this in an email: ---- Address for JPY transfers needs to be verified when the first payment is over 100 000 JPY or customer makes a second transfer from JPY (regardless of the amount). We can see that you have two successful transfers from JPY, most likely due to bug in our system your second...

Re: Transferwise suddenly decide to send me snail mail to confirm my address

Yes. And if Ben got one last year, why am I getting one now, just a month after last sending? Seems very random for a 'regulation'.

Transferwise suddenly decide to send me snail mail to confirm my address

I used TW last year and this year to send money to the UK no problem. Now I’m trying to send money to Australia. They received my money OK and sent a confirmations saying the money should be arriving that day. Then I waited and kept checking my page on their website but the money didn’t arrive. Next...

Re: National Insurance Class 2 payment period

That shouldn't affect the fact that 35 is the number of years required contributions.

National Insurance Class 2 payment period

Not a biggie as I’m not worried about the money, but I have 34 years of full contributions (working in the UK then Class 2 in Japan) and 3 years when I didn’t contribute enough. My forecast says to get the full pension I need to pay another 3 years. I thought the full period was now 35 years. Does a...

Re: Dividends received information on the SBI website

Thanks adamu. Thought I'd clicked every link on the site. Found them here: 入出金・振替 > 外貨入出金 > 外貨入出金明細.

Dividends received information on the SBI website

Can someone help me find dividend information for my shares on the SBI webpage? The NISA divs are as clear as day but I can't for the life of me find the taxable dividend record. I thought they would be somewhere under the 口座(外貨建) tab but all it seems to list is the number of shares and prices.

Update: Dec 2018 - there now seems to be a good option, checkout One fund to rule them all?
Bit late to the party, but the link above is broken. Do you remember where it was meant to be pointing?
