While the world burns
Hope everyone is keeping cool out there. Seems like we’re going to have to get better at dealing with extreme heat going forward -wherever we are in the world.

What do you think? Anything good in there? I found #6 pretty depressing and #11 outrageous.
Pretty disgusted with number 11. I got goosebumps reading that story. How can you take away someone’s dream? And the audacity to justify it. These old fashioned perception towards women in Japan must go. And it doesn’t matter the quality in social infrastructure that the government implement to support women, if the perception towards/of females doesn’t shift we will continue to see this behavior in Japan. Outrageous indeed!
What is worse than number #11 is that this a real deep rooted societal problem and its being ignored. On the trillion “news” shows on tv all day long in Japan they are still talking about the most mundane and pointless things. Like the american football tackle nonsense.
Completely agree with both of you. As much as I love living in Japan, it really is a shame to see these kinds of things still happen even in the 21st century.
Thanks so much for including me in this list – very much appreciated! My “secret formula” turned out to be my longest post ever written, but I think it should be helpful to others out there aiming for financial independence.
