Winter is Coming
Sadly the too-warm days of mid-November seem to be giving way to the seasonally-appropriate colder days of late November. It was nice while it lasted.
I’ve been enjoying Twitter snark about government policies here. The suggestion of ‘Go To ドクター’ was a good one, as was the Rising Wasabi’s ‘Go Back’ campaign. Let’s hope we’re able to keep a lid on infections this time too.
Forum is still doing well:

Anything good in there? By far my favourite this week was Dave Grohl being wonderful.
This week’s books
- Ready Player Two, by Ernest Cline was finally released this week. I loved the first book and enjoyed the film, but halfway through the second I am not feeling it as much. Hopefully the ending will rescue it.
- Post Corona, by Scott Galloway. Really enjoy his email newsletters, so grabbing his new book felt like a bit of a no-brainer.
In regards to number 6, reminds me about an case a number of years back when I was trying to help a friend of a friend who did not speak english recover his yahoo mail account which was blocked. I made a number of calls to the US and all they would tell me was that their “terms and conditions* were violated and so the account was not re-coverable…. When I pressed them on the reason they gave the same response…. I since make sure to back up my own yahoo mail…
