Happy Halloween edition

I got my Transferwise card this week (not sure when I’ll actually get a chance to use it) but not much else to report.

Here are new posts on the forum this week:

It’s been pretty active recently. Nice to see 🙂

This week’s links

  2. 60% of the oldest companies in the world are in Japan? The Data of Long-lived Institutions
  3. Which one are you neglecting? The Only 5 Things You Can Invest In
  4. I’m surprised no one has created online ‘school’ yet: Unleash the Mouse

  6. This was really interesting: Seth Godin interview by financial planner
  7. The ordinance makes sense, the article seems dumb: It’s the law: Smokers in Neyagawa told they can’t puff near their kids, even at home
  8. I would love to do some long walks in Japan. Might as well start vicariously: Let’s Walk Across Japan, Together
  9. It’s not just Japan then: First-class flights, chauffeurs and bribery: the secret life of a private tutor
  10. More charging stations in manshons and car parks would be good too: Japan to boost support for next-generation EV battery development
  11. Grim stuff. One of the few things that could make me leave Japan: US and China: In the Foothills of Cold War
  12. I started buying these before the Buffett announcement: Warren Buffett’s Japan trade: The changing world of ‘sogo shosha’

Not a bad mix this week. Anything good in there? #6 and #8 for me.
