Sunny day edition

Well, the weather is wonderful today, and campus is deserted so I am enjoying the little moments.

Read an interesting Twitter feed from a submariner about the importance of routine, so I am going to spend the next few days trying to plan my days instead of blindly reacting to things. Hopefully it will make me happier and more productive 🙂

This week’s links

  1. This isn’t on Amazon yet… but I’ll be getting one once it is! New AeroPress Go coffee brewing gadget released in Japan
  2. Exactly this: Why You Can’t Always Swing at the Fat Pitch During a Crisis
  3. Really enjoyed reading about Hoover in this exceedingly detailed review: Book review Hoover
  4. My life could do with being a little deeper: The Deep Life: Some Notes
  5. This video of Michael Caine reading If is great, and his comments at the end are great too.
  6. Ah, to have dry powder: When Is the Right Time to Buy Stocks?
  7. Just carry on with the plan: Pound-cost averaging: the buy low superpower
  8. What to do with abandoned houses? Empty nest syndrome

Another short list this week, mainly due to the fact that I am reading all sorts of things about Covid19 but not including them here 🙂

Anything good in there? Number 3 and number 5 for me, I think.

  1. Really liked the video of Michael Caine, reading that poem, very appropiate foe these times.

  2. Although I don’t have any specific comments, please know that I’ve read thru everything and certainly do appreciate the collections of Monday readings.
