No surprises here


Thank you to everyone who answered the survey last week.

Unsurprisingly for a personal finance website, 50% of respondents invest in the stock market, 25% use a savings account, and only 25% do not invest.

I wonder what those numbers would be like for the general population?

  1. Hmm, I would have expected a bit more on the “stock” side for the audience of a financial blog… But I’m sure it’s much, much lower for the general population, in particular in Japan!

    1. My mother in law keeps buying (terrible) insurance products. I think she’s fairly typical of the older generation here (who have all the wealth in Japan)…
