Three channels now
Just a quick post to let everyone know that we have been producing some new content, but not all of it is on the site/blog.
RetireJapan’s mission is to help as many people as possible, so we are trying to get a bit smarter about how we can reach new readers.
Right now we have three different ‘channels’.
The main channel
The main channel is the RetireJapan website. This hosts the blog, information, and the forum. The easiest way to follow the blog is to sign up to our weekly email newsletter. The blog RSS feed is another option if you would rather not get more emails!
The video channel
Recently we started posting videos to YouTube. We’re aiming for one short video a week to start with, then once we get slightly better at making them we’ll try to produce some longer, more in-depth ones. The YouTube content is original and not the same as the content of the blog. Your likes and subscribes would be much appreciated at this time, as they will help the algorithm figure out that we are of interest to people living in Japan (or not!).
The beginner content channel
We’ve also started posting basic articles/threads to Twitter, LinkedIn, Medium, Facebook, and Instagram. These are the same across each of these different sites, but different from the blog and Youtube. If you are interested in seeing these, hopefully one of the five sites suits you!
But it’s all a bit muddled really
There is also a bit of crossover, in that we link to pretty much everything from Twitter and Facebook, and link to the YouTube content from The Monday Read post each week.
So a few more options now, but if you are happy with what you currently get from the site there is certainly no need to go out of your way to change anything.
Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions!
I also started posting on TikTok, but it is far too lame to link to… yet.
Don’t forget to get RetireJapan on Tinder too. Swipe right for prudent financial advice.
