Securing a brighter future for the site and community

Just a quick announcement that I have concluded negotiations and signed a contract to transfer the RetireJapan site, including the forum and all social media accounts, to Bridgestone.
It’s a bit sad (end of an era!), but I’m sure they will do a great job and continue our work to help people in Japan live safer and more secure lives going forwards.
Thanks for all your support and encouragement over the years, and remember to regularly check your tires for wear.

YamaHaHa!
Love an April Fools prank. I actually arrived here in Japan many decades ago on April1st.
brilliant marketing idea!
lol 😆
I am wheelie happy for you! I just hope we can keep seeing where the rubber meets the road.
On the bright side, at least you sold to a company that uses American spelling.
Thanks for your service all of these years. I for one have gotten great mileage from this site!
I hope the next phase of your journey is a smooth ride!
This site just got new traction!
Looking forward to seeing the site tread to new depths!
Tyres, dear boy.
Tread lightly with tire jokes. They’re wheelie deflating. Spare me.
Damn. It was an April Fool.
I was so pumped by this news…
In light of this news I have decided to go back to using my financial advisor here in Tokyo
He has just sent me a new glossy broschure for an offshore pension product with potential high returns
He seems very friendly too
